Jessica Power Racing Welcomes Back Fastenal Kingston as a Marketing Partner for the 2013 Racing Season; Continues Race 101 This Weekend

With the 2013 racing season approaching quickly, Jessica Power Racing has been hard at work getting the car ready for the new season. The team has been seeking new marketing partners and continuing to strengthen their relationship with existing sponsors over the winter, as they look to build on the great success that they had in 2012.

Jessica Power Racing is pleased to welcome back Fastenal of Kingston as a returning marketing partner for 2013. Fastenal is located at 1225 Gardiners Road, just south of the 401. They can be reached at 613-389-3968.

“We are very excited to have Fastenal of Kingston back on board with us in 2013”, says Jessica Power. “We had a great year last year, and we hope that we can continue to build on that this coming season. “We wouldn’t be able to do what we do if it wasn’t for the great help that we get from all of our marketing partners”.

The first race of the season for Jessica Power and the Power Racing team is still over a month a way, but the team does have a busy schedule leading up to that first night at the track. This coming weekend, Jessica will travel back to North Carolina to attend the next session of classes for the Race 101 program. The following weekend, Jessica and the team will have their car on display at the Gater Motorsports Expo in Syracuse representing Finish Line Web Design in their booth. The annual Frontenac Mall car show also takes place in March with the cars entering the mall on March 20th, and continuing through March 23rd. Both the Mohawk Raceway and Brockville Speedway 2012 banquets will also take place in March. The first race of 2013 is scheduled at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on April 5th, 2013.

The full 2013 schedule has not yet been released, but Jessica does plan to race at Mohawk International Raceway in Hogansburg, New York and Brockville Speedway regularly in 2013, as well as following the Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Series, and the St. Lawrence Seaway Sportsman Series. She will also attend Cornwall Speedway occasionally, much like she did in 2012.

Kingston Racer Power Attends Prestigious North Carolina Racing School

February 2nd, 2013, Kingston, ON – Kingston racer Jessica Power attended her first class of the RACE 101 program this past weekend in Denver, North Carolina. The 26-year-old Queens University graduate races a DIRT Sportsman car locally, and she hopes that the school will help her achieve her goals of moving up to the next level in DIRT racing.

“I was excited to be accepted to RACE 101 because I have raced with and learned a great deal from previous graduates of the program,” said the eager Power.

The program will last the entire year and will focus not only on the technical aspects of racecars, but also on the marketing and management side of the sport. The culmination of the program will be a testing session in an asphalt late model at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina. Very few young racers get an opportunity such as this and it is a unique program that will help drivers and teams develop in their racing careers.

“I want to help take my team to the next level and I believe this school will help me do that. I want to have a more complete understanding of how my car works as well as what I need to do to market myself”, says Power.

With a busy season coming up, Jessica is looking forward to applying the principles she has learned at school.

“Sitting in class, all I could think about was getting to the shop or track and working on my car,” said Power. “I can’t wait to see what this season brings.”

Follow Jessica Power this season on Facebook (Jessica Power Racing), Twitter (@jessicapower52) and the web at www.jessicapower.ca as she travels to Ontario, Quebec, and New York State competing against hundreds of other Sportsman drivers.
